Seamless Flooring NJ
Project Overview: Seamless Epoxy Flooring Installation for a Private School.
Existing Conditions: This private school in southern NJ was looking to get an upgrade over the existing tile flooring they had in place. They required a flooring system that would not only be aesthetically pleasing but wouldn't scuff and scratch from the constant abuse of having chairs and desk sliding all over it.
Preparation of existing condition: Our prep team began with removing the existing cove-base from each wall. We then Installed key-ways at all terminations to ensure system thickness while eliminating any elevation differences. From here our team scarified the existing epoxy system to create a mechanical bond and establish a mechanical profile.
Conclusion: The end result was custom and aesthetically pleasing quartz flake epoxy flooring system. This floor not only looks great but will hold up to anything the kids throw at them. To learn more about this seamless flooring installation call us at 800-928-7220.
Products Installed: Prior to installing our seamless flooring system, our team solvent wiped the substrate to ensure that we had a clean surface to bond to. From here we applied a two-component 100% solids epoxy primer and broadcasted colored quartz directly into the primer. Once our primer was fully cured the install team removed any excessive decorative quartz and applied the second broadcast coat of 100% solids epoxy of GP3569. After sweeping off the quartz from the second broadcast coat we applied a final top coat of General Polymers 4850 Polyaspartic for added mechanical strength and scratch resistance.
