  3. Chemical resistance: Epoxy flooring is resistant to a variety of chemicals, making it suitable for use in warehouses where chemicals and other hazardous materials are stored or handled.

  4. Slip-resistant: Warehouse epoxy flooring can be made slip-resistant, which is important for safety in a warehouse setting.

  5. Aesthetically pleasing: Epoxy flooring can be customized with different colors and patterns, making it an attractive option for warehouses.

  6. Cost-effective: Epoxy flooring is generally less expensive than other types of flooring, such as tile or polished concrete.

This project involved a newly leased space in which the tenant was preparing to use for warehousing. This is the perfect scenario for a grind and seal floor system as it allows for remediation of rough areas and then ground with diamonds and a two-coat system. This action plan will result in a dust-free workspace and smooth traversing for their forklifts.

Here was the space upon our arrival. The process starts with protecting any areas that require the same. Then walk the area and identify any and all repairs.

Typically we mechanically abrade the floor and then fill voids so the two-coat system will encase any patches and ensure their long-term service.

This epoxy floor system required a CSP 10 to achieve the manufacturer's desired profile. In addition to a profile, it is important to note we always use thermal-cured resins that heat up and upon cooling "weld" to the substrate.

We make an epoxy putty out of the same resin and the base coat to be certain they are compatible then fill with crush stone for patching of voids deeper than 1/2". This concoction is perfect as it does not leave behind much build on the surface making the final warehouse epoxy floor system smooth and even upon completion.

This picture shows our team finishing up the aliphatic urethane topcoat. This coat provides both enhanced sheen retention as well as color stability.

This two-coat warehouse floor painting project is very economical and yet holds up very well in the warehouse environment.
